Purpose of Establishment
The Graduate School of Energy and Environment was the first established in the nation in 2004 with the goals of cultivating a high quality energy environment technology policy workforce equipped with the technology and competence for energy production and distribution, new renewable energy development, efficient utilization of energy, and related policy development. To cultivate a high quality energy environment technical workforce with field adaptability as well as theoretical knowledge, we will invite excellent professors with superior research performance and field experience. These professors will concentrate on teaching and performing research, and we will continue to endeavor to create a quality education environment.
Students who graduate from the Graduate School of Energy and Environment will develop into experts in these fields, and will work towards resolving the energy issues of our society and country.
Object of Establishment
  • Cultivate professional workforce with an integrated system which combines energy policy development through a human-social approach with technology that is based on engineering perspectives such as mechanics, chemical engineering, and environmental engineering
  • Invite experts in the energy field as affiliated professors to activate empirical education and research activity
  • Establish an industrial education cooperation system with the relevant institutions to enhance the efficiency and competitiveness of the domestic energy field, and carry out energy development technology activities such as developing alternative energy
  • Cultivate a professional workforce by conducting reeducation of the energy workforce in the Energy Workforce Cultivation Center
